Keep the Green Line on Track

Keep the Green Line on Track

The provincial government is withholding funding for Calgay’s Green Line and demanding yet another review - while the last one they asked for delayed the project by two years and drove the cost up by over $1 billion dollars. This review could kill the project entirely. Join us in calling on the provincial government to put people before politics.

This decision threatens thousands of needed jobs. It will result in increased traffic and pollution for Calgarians. It will force thousands of Calgarians to spend countless hours trying to get to work when they need a quality transit system.

Calgary is growing by 96,000 people per year, a testament to our city's vibrancy and potential. We need a quality transit system to accommodate this growth, ensuring that everyone can get to work, go to the doctor, participate in our city’s cultural life, attend worship and visit family and friends.

We are asking you to write Premier Smith, Minister Dreeshen (Minister of Transportation and Economic Corridors) and your MLA to tell them that it is important to have the Green Line funded, built in a way that serves Calgarians in north and south Calgary, and doesn't drive up costs further with yet another review.

Help save the Green Line! Send a letter! You can use the sample letter and letter-writing tool below.

Minister Devin Dreeshen (Minister of Transportation and Economic Corridors) and Premier Danielle Smith will automatically be CC'd on your email to your MLA. Your email will be signed off automatically with "Sincerely, [Your name]" based on the name you input into the form below.
